Welcome to Metro Portland Home Finder. That’s Portland, Oregon for the geographically confused. This site lets buyers and homeowners access MLS listings and market data on Portland Real Estate. You can search (and view) homes for sale in Portland in a variety of ways (e.g., neighborhoods, areas, zip codes, school districts, etc.). Here’s an outline of the menu bar:
View Listing Pages: These pages are broken out by area and neighborhood. If you hover over an area, it will show you a drop down menu of neighborhoods. Click on the one you want and you’ll see a list of thumbnail pics/details. Click “View Detail” below a listing to see more photos/data. Once you’ve mastered a few skills, you can save listings to favorites or request a showing. Each page is linked to a map page that shows the listing locations.
Search Listing Maps: If you prefer, you can go straight to the maps. The default map centers on downtown Portland and is divided by neighborhoods. You can move the map or zoom in by using the directional button or slider bar on the left side. There’s a secondary menu that allows you to change the “Search By” parameters to include school districts, zip codes, and more. You can also add map overlays, including satellite/physical view or the funkadelic Walk Score.
Blog: This section contains a variety of market data, public service information, and links to various Portland Public Schools sites. In my experience, that’s why people visit real estate sites. There’s no restaurant reviews, bucket lists, political opinions, etc.; this site simply focuses on finding you a home or helping you find your home’s value. This section is searchable, so if you don’t see what you want, try the Search box in the upper right corner.
Note: The site is still under construction, so please pardon my virtual dust. To view my other site, please visit www.bighatrealestate.com.
